Treatments available at our clinic in Catarroja
At Regenerat Catarroja, we offer specialized treatments in orthopedics, regenerative medicine, and musculoskeletal pain for patients in Catarroja and nearby towns such as Massanassa, Albal, Alfafar, Benetússer, Sedaví, Silla, Paiporta, Picanya, and Valencia.
Our approach integrates traditional orthopedics with biological therapies, ultrasound-guided techniques, and personalized treatment plans designed to relieve pain, improve mobility, and restore function to joints, tendons, muscles, and other structures of the musculoskeletal system.
Regenerative Medicine Treatments and Biological Therapies
Regenerative medicine is one of the areas that sets Regenerat Clínica apart.
Unlike treatments that focus solely on temporarily controlling pain, biological therapies aim to stimulate the body’s natural repair mechanisms to promote the recovery of injured tissues, modulate inflammation, and improve joint or tendon function when there is an appropriate medical indication.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
Obtained from the patient’s own blood, concentrated, and reinjected into the affected area. Highly effective for tendinopathies, early-stage osteoarthritis, and ligament injuries.
QREM Cytokine
Natural proteins that stimulate cell regeneration and accelerate the recovery of injured tissues.
Monocyte Infiltration
Use your own immune system to repair what chronic inflammation had blocked.
It works directly on the source, reprogramming the inflammation to restore your tissues’ ability to repair themselves.
Arthrosamid for the Knee
Polyacrylamide hydrogel is the only non-degradable intra-articular injectable implant approved in Europe for the symptomatic treatment of adults with knee osteoarthritis.
Hyaluronic Acid Infiltrations
Intra-articular hyaluronic acid infiltrations will restore the properties of the synovial fluid , protecting the arthritic joint from wear and tear.
Lumbar Rizolysis – Radiofrequency
Radiofrequency rhizolysis, also known as rhizotomy, is a minimally invasive medical treatment designed to relieve chronic lower back pain
Prolotherapy
Through proliferative therapy, the dextrose solution, which is the primary proliferant, triggers an inflammatory reaction process, which irritates the tissue where it has been injected so that the patient’s body begins to carry out its own repair .
Shock Wave Therapy
Shock waves use high-energy acoustic pulses to stimulate regenerative processes in injured musculoskeletal tissues.
Shock waves not only relieve pain but also promote structural tissue repair.

At Regenerat Catarroja, we also treat children and adolescents with pain, injuries, or disorders of the musculoskeletal system. We evaluate falls, sprains, fractures, joint pain, sports injuries in school-age children, and problems related to bone growth.
Pediatric orthopedics requires a specific evaluation, since the bones, joints, and growth plates are still developing. For this reason, our specialists tailor the diagnosis and treatment to the patient’s age, the type of injury, and the patient’s activity level.
The goal is to provide the family with a clear explanation, recommend the most appropriate treatment, and promote a safe recovery, thereby preventing potential long-term effects on the child or adolescent’s growth, mobility, or ability to participate in sports.

Conditions We Treat at Our Clinic in Catarroja
Knee Pain
Knee pain is one of the most common reasons patients visit our clinic in Catarroja. It can result from a sports injury, a fall, an awkward movement, overuse, or the progressive development of degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis.
We treat knee pain related to the buildup of fluid in the knee, patellar tendinitis, osteoarthritis, knee bursitis, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears, knee bone edema, knee sprains, meniscal disorders, or torn meniscus…
Before recommending arthroscopy or a knee replacement, we assess whether there are less invasive options that could help you improve. Depending on the diagnosis, we may consider regenerative therapies, ultrasound-guided injections, or other conservative treatments aimed at reducing pain, restoring mobility, and delaying or avoiding surgery whenever possible.
Hip Pain
At our clinic in Catarroja, we diagnose and treat various hip conditions, such as hip tendinitis and gluteal tendinopathy, hip bursitis, trochanteritis, osteoarthritis, and hip bone edema.
When the diagnosis allows it, we can consider regenerative treatments such as intraosseous hip injections, hyaluronic acid injections, or autologous enriched serum to help slow the progression of hip osteoarthritis. The goal is to reduce pain, improve mobility, and delay or avoid surgery whenever possible.
If bioregenerative or conservative treatments are not sufficient to achieve adequate improvement, we also offer surgical techniques such as bursectomy, hip arthroscopy, or hip replacement. At Regenerat Catarroja, we evaluate each case individually and always prioritize less invasive alternatives before recommending surgery.
Elbow Pain
At our clinic in Catarroja, we evaluate common elbow injuries and discomfort in athletes, people with manual labor jobs, patients who perform repetitive movements, and active individuals who begin to experience pain when lifting weights, grasping objects, or playing sports.
We treat conditions such as tennis elbow (epicondylitis), golfer’s elbow (epitrochleitis), elbow bursitis, and joint pain associated with degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis.
Depending on the diagnosis, the duration of the condition, and the response to previous treatments, we can evaluate regenerative options such as PRP injections, hyaluronic acid injections, or enriched autologous serum Qrem Cytokine. The goal is to reduce pain, restore mobility, and improve elbow function while avoiding surgery whenever possible.
When conservative treatments do not lead to sufficient improvement, we also perform bursectomies, arthroscopic elbow surgery, or joint replacement in cases of very advanced osteoarthritis. At Regenerat Catarroja, surgery is considered only when it is the most appropriate option for the patient.
Shoulder and Rotator Cuff Injuries
Rotator cuff injuries, subacromial bursitis, persistent shoulder pain, and glenohumeral instability are common problems among active individuals, athletes, and workers who perform repetitive movements, lift weights, or exert themselves with their arms raised above their heads.
At our clinic in Catarroja, we perform a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, using musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injections when necessary, to accurately identify the source of the pain and determine the most appropriate treatment for each patient.
We treat conditions such as shoulder tendinitis, rotator cuff tears, shoulder osteoarthritis, bursitis, frozen shoulder, calcifications….
When conservative or regenerative treatments are not sufficient, we also perform arthroscopic surgery, rotator cuff repairs, treatment for subacromial bursitis, or joint replacement in cases of advanced osteoarthritis.
At Regenerat Catarroja, shoulder surgery is considered only when it is the most appropriate option for the patient.
Foot or Ankle Pain
At Regenerat Catarroja, we evaluate foot and ankle injuries that can cause pain when walking, running, standing for long periods of time, or playing sports. We combine clinical examination, musculoskeletal ultrasound when indicated, and personalized treatments to address discomfort that has not improved with rest, medication, or conventional physical therapy.
We treat conditions such as ankle sprains, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, peroneal tendinitis, sports-related injuries, and ankle osteoarthritis.
Depending on the patient’s diagnosis and clinical course, we may use treatments such as hyaluronic acid injections, platelet-rich plasma, and autologous cytokine-enriched serum—always after evaluating each case individually and confirming that there is an appropriate medical indication.
When conservative or regenerative treatment does not result in sufficient improvement, we also perform foot and ankle surgery, including fasciectomy, surgery for Achilles tendinopathy, ankle arthroscopy, or ankle arthrodesis when indicated.
Pain in the Hand and/or Wrist
At Regenerat Catarroja, we treat common hand and wrist problems, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trapeziometacarpal osteoarthritis ( ryarthrosis), trigger finger, De Quervain’s tendinitis, chronic wrist pain, tendon injuries, and discomfort when grasping objects, writing, driving, or performing repetitive movements.
These conditions can significantly impact daily life, manual labor, grip strength, and everyday tasks such as cooking, using tools, typing, or lifting weights. Our orthopedic surgeons evaluate each case to determine whether it can be treated using conservative approaches, injections, regenerative medicine, or—when necessary—specific surgical techniques.
When there is an appropriate medical indication, we can use regenerative medicine treatments such as hyaluronic acid injections, platelet-rich plasma, and autologous serum—always following a personalized assessment of pain, mobility, the extent of the condition, and the function of the hand or wrist.
When necessary, we perform hand surgery, carpal tunnel syndrome surgery, wrist arthroscopy, and arthroplasty or arthrodesis.
Back Pain and Herniated Discs
At Regenerat Catarroja, we treat back pain that may be related to sports, work, prolonged postures, repetitive strain, or spinal conditions such as lumbar disc herniation, sacroiliitis, and facet joint osteoarthritis. These types of problems can cause persistent pain, difficulty moving, sleep disturbances, time off work, and a significant loss of quality of life.
Our team in Catarroja addresses these conditions through a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and a treatment plan tailored to each patient. Depending on the case, we may combine ultrasound-guided injections, regenerative medicine, interventional pain treatments, and clinical follow-up to assess progress.
Among the treatment options we can consider are lumbar corticosteroid injections, ultrasound-guided platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, prolotherapy, lumbar radiofrequency rhizolysis, and electrostimulation, always depending on the diagnosis, the severity of the pain, imaging studies, and the response to previous treatments.
When conservative, regenerative, or minimally invasive options do not produce the expected results, we also offer a spinal surgery service to evaluate surgical treatment for lumbar disc herniation or other spinal conditions that require it.

Where is the Regenerat orthopedic clinic in Catarroja?
The clinic is located in an easily accessible area of Catarroja, and you can easily find it on Google Maps by searching for “Regenerat Catarroja” or by entering the full address directly.
Do I need a referral to see an orthopedic surgeon in Catarroja?
At Regenerat Catarroja, we offer direct-access private consultations for patients with joint pain, sports injuries, osteoarthritis, tendinitis, back pain, or other musculoskeletal problems.
Simply contact us by phone, WhatsApp, or through the online form to book your appointment at our clinic in Catarroja.
What is the difference between conventional orthopedics and regenerative medicine?
A conventional orthopedic surgeon diagnoses and treats injuries to the musculoskeletal system using options such as medication, rehabilitation, conventional injections, or surgery when necessary.
At Regenerat Catarroja, we build on that foundation with a specialized focus on regenerative medicine and biological therapies, using treatments such as platelet-rich plasma, growth factors, hyaluronic acid, or enriched autologous serum when medically indicated.
These options can help reduce pain, improve mobility, and, in certain patients, delay or prevent surgery.
Thus, the patient receives a comprehensive evaluation of their condition and a clear explanation of all available options: from conservative treatments to regenerative therapies or surgery when it is truly indicated.
How much does the first visit to an orthopedist in Catarroja cost?
The cost of the first visit with the specialist is €100 and includes a comprehensive clinical evaluation, a physical examination, a review of any diagnostic test results you provide, and a diagnostic ultrasound when indicated.
Follow-up appointments cost 80 €.
Do you have agreements with health insurance companies in Catarroja?
Currently, our clinic in Catarroja treats both private patients who pay out of pocket and patients with health insurance, depending on the agreements we have in place with various insurance providers.
If you have private insurance, we recommend that you contact us before scheduling your appointment. Our team can advise you on the applicable coverage, the terms of your policy, and the options available for your specific situation.
Do you treat children and adolescents at the Catarroja clinic?
Yes. At Regenerat Catarroja, we also have experience in pediatric and adolescent orthopedics.
We treat sports injuries in school-age children, fractures, growth-related discomfort, musculoskeletal disorders, and other pediatric conditions that require orthopedic evaluation.
If your son or daughter needs to be examined due to pain, an injury, or limited mobility, you can schedule an appointment directly at our clinic in Catarroja.
Can I get a second opinion on a surgery that has been recommended to me?
Yes. At Regenerat Catarroja, we evaluate patients who have already been recommended for surgery and want to know if there are any alternatives before making a final decision.
We evaluate each case individually, reviewing the symptoms, clinical examination, and available imaging studies. Our goal is to clearly explain whether you might benefit from conservative treatments, regenerative therapies, or less invasive techniques before considering surgery.
If surgery really is the best option, we’ll tell you that honestly, too. A second opinion from an orthopedic specialist allows you to make a decision with more information, greater peace of mind, and a comprehensive medical assessment of your situation.
How long does it take to recover with regenerative therapies?
Recovery time varies depending on the condition, the severity of the injury, the prescribed treatment, and each patient’s response. Treatments such as PRP can lead to gradual improvement over the first 4–8 weeks. The effects of hyaluronic acid injections usually begin to be noticeable within approximately 2–4 weeks, although the progress depends on the joint being treated, the degree of wear and tear, and the prior condition of the tissues.
At Regenerat Catarroja, the specialist will explain to you during your first visit what results you can expect, what realistic timelines apply in your case, and what guidelines you should follow to promote recovery and reduce the risk of relapse.
What if I need surgery? Can you perform it in Catarroja?
The advantage of coming to Regenerat Catarroja is that surgery is not recommended right away, but only after a comprehensive evaluation of your case, including a review of your symptoms, a physical examination, available imaging tests, and the progression of your injury or condition.
Whenever possible, we first explore conservative, minimally invasive, or regenerative options. If surgery is ultimately necessary, we’ll explain it to you clearly and honestly so you can make an informed and confident decision.
